  1. Factors such as pricing, useful functionalities (which meet your goals) and user experience are all important and should always be taken into account when choosing a customer feedback software.

So whether it’s an additional feature you don’t want to pay for or you’re just looking for something they don’t offer, there are always alternatives to choose from. Here are 10 alternatives to Medallia for Digital, if not better in some respects…

  2. The point is that each customer journey is its own unique story. From the supermarkets point of view when they look at the sales at the end of the day they will see my transaction amongst the thousands of others but they won’t know my story. Even if I got a prompt on my receipt to fill out a survey to enter a prize draw and I went and gave them an NPS rating, would they know any more about my customer story?

  3. Businesses have always had a rough time attempting to understand exactly what their customers think about their product, especially criticism. Of course, ultimately a company will see the results in the form of reduced sales, but by the time this happens, it is usually too late to do anything. No mid-course correction can be made. A business has already lost a great deal of money.

  4. Do you know how much small and medium-size businesses (SMEs) contribute to total GDP growth? This segment, comprised of your friends, moms, dads, and others is an enormous contributor to the general welfare of our communities.

  5. It takes a lot for a new customer to become a customer these days.

Very few customers discover a company, find a product they need, and decide to purchase all in the same day -- instead, they take many steps, over the course of days, weeks, or even months to make a purchase and start using a product.

The complex process of winning over customers requires strategy and commitment. That's why sales and marketing funnels and buyer's journeys were created -- to divide and conquer each little step that goes into converting a potential customer into a returning one.

  6. Everyone is well aware of the value that customer feedback can bring to your organization. Unfortunately, many companies fall into traps that prevent them from being able to get the most value out of this feedback.

Brands often fail to realize the primary value of Voice of the Customer (VoC) data, which is that information culled via customer feedback, creates internal alignment and provides insights that allow brands to execute quicker than the competition.

  8. Collecting and analysing in-app feedback can be very straightforward – provided that you have the right tools and methodology in place to do so. In a previous article, we outlined several reasons why collecting in-app feedback is important for the mobile user experience. The next step is to demonstrate how this feedback can be collected. There are three options to choose from when it comes to collecting feedback in-app – all of which offer their own advantages and drawbacks. These methods include: Webviews, SDKs and APIs.

  9. Businesses invest money and time on outside market research firms that bring together focus groups for product testing. The resulting feedback from a very small sample of prospective customers is frequently incorporated across business operations from product development to messaging and go-to-market strategy, indiscriminately. On top of all that, vocal executive teams will also want to weigh in on the process. In the end, the marketing team has blown a hole in their budget and makes major bets based on third-party recommendations.
