  1. The ecommerce industry has experienced a tremendous amount of growth in the past decade. Having jumped from 3.5% of all retail sales in 2008 to nearly 11.9% in 2018, this growth – in combination with a (still) relatively low market share – represents a huge opportunity for more innovative ecommerce companies looking to overtake their traditional counterparts.

However, in order to latch on to the ‘growth train’, these same ecommerce companies (and therefore, ecommerce managers) are going to have to put their best foot forward. In other words, they’ll need to be sure that they are providing a first-rate online customer experience. And the best way to do this is to start listening to the voice of the customer. After all, your customers can be your best resource in terms of understanding what you’re doing wrong (or right!) on your website or mobile app. So allow me to introduce you to online feedback…

  2. Unfortunately there are many instances in which online customer feedback “falls on deaf ears”. Just a mere 46% of consumers feel that their feedback is being used in a constructive way. And what’s interesting is almost 83% of consumers say they would be more loyal to a brand if they knew that brand would act on their feedback and make improvements.

  3. It won’t come as surprise for you to hear that mobile phone usage has been increasing over the past decade. With the launch of the iPhone and other modern smartphones hitting the market, much of the population now expect to be able to do many everyday tasks through their mobile devices.

  4. Most companies say that they listen to their customers, and it’s true to some extent. But the larger truth is that customer feedback is often ignored because companies do not know how to get it, let alone how to make product decisions based on it. Super stoked to share this article with you folks that explores the 'why's behind the significance of customer feedback, frameworks, case studies on how it worked for Quuu , Zest.is, Zola and Shopseen along with some expert opinions from the best in the business including: Talia Wolf, Nichole Elizabeth DeMeré, Ashley Greene Matthew Spurr, Val Geisler, Sue Duris and David Hoos.

  5. Any good digital marketer knows how important customer feedback is for their clients. From understanding customer issues to validating new market strategies, you can gain a wide range of information from the customer feedback you receive on Facebook, Instagram, Yelp and more. Feedback, good or bad, is essential for the growth of your business.

Whenever you search for services online, the first thing you look at is the company’s feedback. For example, when searching for “digital marketing agency Chester”, you will see Social Buzzing in the search engine results. You would then look at the Social Buzzing positive reviews and decide to click on the link. This is how many businesses are chosen by potential customers and why customer feedback, especially in the form of reviews, is important.

  6. According to a study carried out by RTE, over 30% of companies do not monitor what is being said about them online – whether it’s on their website, mobile app or social media profiles. And interestingly enough, much of this hesitancy is attributed to their fear of negative online feedback.

  7. In this White Paper, Mopinion outlines why in-app feedback is important as well as three different ways in which mobile product owners and marketers – with the intention of optimising the mobile experience – can collect in-app feedback. This paper will also look at how to analyse and take action on feedback and discuss what should be considered in terms of security standards (as they relate to the General Data Protection Regulation).

  9. Voice of the Customer (VoC) programmes are intended to capture the opinions and preferences of all customers, analyse those insights, and use them to create meaningful changes in customer experience (CX). Having a VoC programme in place has become increasingly more popular and essential, especially as more and more businesses (nearly 72% to be precise) continue to place CX as their top priority.

  10. In an era when disruptors like Uber, Netflix, and Amazon are reimagining markets and eroding the boundaries between markets, incumbents know they need to change. The problem most are confronting is how to begin, where, and how much?

One answer to this question is digitization. Our competitors are able to deliver greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness through digital technologies. So, in order to compete, we also need to be digitally adept.

But is technology the cause for disruption, or is it a mere catalyst? I will support the latter claim, that technology does not cause the incredible success of disruptors but only enables success. Keeping your customers happy is the more direct source of value.
